Plants

Mike Poulton
My interest in botany was kindled as a teenager when I was given 'The Pocket Guide to Wild Flowers', by McClintock and Fitter, and started identifying the plants illustrated in the book. In later life I joined the Botanical Society of the British Isles, The Wild Flower Society and Sandnats and was employed as a consultant ecologist for Land Care Associates Limited (associated with The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country). I am author of the Sandwell Valley Flora, a Flora of the RSPB Reserve in the Sandwell Valley, and co-author of Flora of Birmingham and the Black Country.
